During the COVID-19 pandemic, patients with stroke arrived sicker and later at the hospital, but quality of care was not impaired, according to researchers in Florida, USA.

To assess the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on stroke care, the researchers compared the characteristics and outcomes of patients with stroke who were treated before the pandemic (March 2019 to February 2020) with outcomes in patients treated during the pandemic (March 2020 to February 2021).
