Insights from implementing a pediatric code stroke protocol

New findings presented at CNS 2021 have highlighted the benefits of following a pediatric code stroke protocol, to aid diagnosis and help optimize outcomes.

Dr Stuart Fraser and colleagues from the University of Texas McGovern Medical School Division of Neurology, in Houston, USA, reported insights from a review of experiences at the center.

The detailed code stroke protocol, for children aged 2 years or older with concerns for acute stroke, was implemented to help avoid misdiagnosis, or delayed diagnosis, of pediatric acute stroke.
