In an EAN highlights session, Professor Eugen Trinka of the Paracelsus Medical University Salzburg in Salzburg, Austria, reviewed key presentations on epilepsy.
The first presentation involved a study by Cook et al (EPR-311) on the use of a minimally invasive device that detects focal seizure activity. The Minder system device, implanted beneath the scalp, captures EEG data continuously and transfers it to a mobile phone, where it is accessible remotely by internet.
