Electrophysiological parameters predict disability outcomes in patients with Guillain-Barre syndrome

In patients with Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS), electrophysiological parameters may help predict disability outcomes, according to researchers in India.

Several electrophysiological parameters have been associated with GBS, including conduction block, f-wave abnormalities, and autonomic instability, said Dr Ashwin Lathiya of Government Medical College in Kota, India. However, few studies have directly linked these parameters with functional outcomes and disability.
